That is what they call it around here…Louil ?? Personally, I would pronouce Louisville…well, the way it is spelled – Louis, but you are quickly corrected. However you pronounce it, we went for a quick trip last weekend. Ethan and Alyssa dressed up and went to a co-workers wedding. She was so excited to get to go with Daddy and of course in the rush of checking in the hotel and getting her dressed, I didn’t take any pictures. The little girls and I played in the hotel room for a few hours until they returned. We spent one night (thank goodness) and enjoyed the zoo on Sunday. It was a remarkable day for any outdoor activity and we enjoyed the day together.
The 4th Celebration
We enjoyed the annual parade this year without rain. Megan was still not ready to pedal herself, maybe next year. We had a blast with new friends, and I always enjoy an occasion to make my girls cute. The pool, a little rest and then we are scheduled for a cookout in the neighborhood and some fireworks from the porch.
7 months old
My littlest cutie is 7 months old today. She has a contagious smile for anyone who will pay attention to her. She loves her big sisters. She can roll from one side of the room to the other before I have time to even walk away. She takes wonderful naps at home, but 20 minute naps in the car. She puts herself to sleep in minutes, but can’t stand to be rocked to sleep. She sucks her thumb. She loves to hold on to her rabbit as she sleeps. She loves sweet potatoes, but not too crazy about peaches. She can sit unassisted for several seconds. She can inch her way up to a toy that she wants. She has the cutest chubby thighs and the softest sweet cheeks. And she has a curve in the bridge of her nose perfect for mommy’s kisses.
Hello Brother

There is something about the sky in the Houston area. I don’t know what it is, but it immediately connects me to Noah. Maybe the clouds form a certain way here that they don’t in Nashville. Maybe its that I can see the horizon. Maybe it is just that my mind connects Noah to this town. Whatever it is I like it. I like the memories. We shared some balloons with brother today.
I will never get used to seeing my son’s name on this stone.
Texas Fun v.2

More photos, mostly for Daddy since he is missing his girls. There is a lot of swimming going on around here. I think Oma was suckered into the pool at least 3 different times in the last 2 days. I know they are having fun.We have another week of swim lessons and cousin camp starts tomorrow. So I will have at least 1.5 days without the big girls, a mini vacation for me…well, except for this web project I cannot get myself to finish.
Texas Fun v.1
The week has been busy already. We played with the cousins this weekend and the girls are in swim lessons 4x a week. Alyssa did great, and Megan…well, she acted just like Alyssa did at her age. Sometimes she needs a little convincing to try something and her teacher decided she didn’t want to “break her trust” with Megan. So we sat on the edge screaming. Today was much better, in fact completely opposite. She walked right over to her teacher, hopped in and then screamed when it was time to get out. I cannot win with this child.
We have swam everyday so far, went to see UP with Daddy tonight and attempted to get Alyssa’s ear’s pierced. She wants to do it so bad, but just can’t sit still and let the girls do it. I can’t say I am too disappointed. I am the one who keeps asking her, but then secretly inside, I really don’t want her to do it.
Then Audrey. She seems to be growing before my eyes. She is happy, talking and rolling her way from the rocking chair into the coffee table and more. She cannot sit up yet, but appears to be trying to crawl. What? Can you physically crawl before sitting up?
Slumber Party
We celebrated Alyssa’s birthday a little early this year since we are traveling to Houston this week. She has been wanting a slumber party for awhile and we finally did it. There were only 2 other girls so it was very manageable. They were all so nice to let Megan tag along all night too. They both have younger sisters so they probably didn’t even notice. We had a silly string fight which turned more into “lets just spray the silly string all over the yard then roll it all up into a gooey ball of grossness,” the girls dressed up as what they called “fashion models,” we painted nails and had popcorn and a movie. They had alot of fun together and were all three asleep by 10:45pm. Those who have slumbered with Alyssa in the past will not be surprised that she was the last one awake. They got up about 7 am and went downstairs to color at the table all by themselves. We had a great party and are blessed to have good friends to celebrate with us this year. See all pics
Big girl
Megan got her first “real” haircut. You can call it “real” because she did more than just trim the edges, or because I actually took my camera to document it. But as far as her scrapbook (if I ever finish it) goes, this will be her first haircut.
She must have felt like a big girl with this new style, because she attempted to paint her toe nails today.
I came in the bathroom to find her with the polish open and splattered all over the counter. Remarkably none on her clothes or the rug. When I asked her what happened, she said, ” I spilled it everywhere”.
Mommy: “What were you doing?”
Megan: “Trying to open it so I could paint these two.”
Despite the paint running down her toes, she didn’t do too bad for her first time. Oh that kid!
Three Bears
I think at this age Alyssa was reciting bible stories, but they are all different, right? Megan likes to read this book before her nap and she does very well with voices too. Enjoy the video!
Breakfast has changed
Audrey has done great with her cereal this week. It is fun for her to be at this new stage, the only problem is that she was my easiest child to get ready. Wake, quick feed, dressed, and we are out the door. Now that 25 min process has been stretched to an hour to allow for her to have a real breakfast. Luckily, summer is coming and maybe we can all eat breakfast together instead of Alyssa before the bus, Megan at 7:45 and Audrey at 8:30. I vote for everyone to sleep until 8:00, then we can all eat together. Any objections?
